Remote Support Authorization
Last updated: September 19, 2026
This page describes the authorization you will be asked to provide before a remote-support appointment.
Your authorization
By authorizing remote support, you confirm that you own the device, account, or system being serviced or have permission from its owner to approve the work. You authorize AfterSix IT to remotely connect to the approved device and perform only the troubleshooting or technical work you requested or approved.
What approved troubleshooting may involve
Depending on the job, troubleshooting may require viewing system information, changing settings, starting or stopping applications or services, installing or removing approved software, applying updates, running diagnostic or security tools, transferring support-related files, or restarting the device.
Your data and control
Please maintain a current backup of important files when possible. AfterSix IT will make reasonable efforts to avoid accessing personal files or information unrelated to the requested service. You may end the remote session at any time.
No permanent access
Authorization applies to the identified support request. It does not grant permanent or unattended access unless you separately authorize an ongoing support arrangement.
Credentials
Enter passwords yourself whenever practical. Never send passwords, complete payment-card details, or remote-access codes through the website intake or quote pages.
