Terms of Service
Last updated: October 13, 2026
These Terms govern technology support provided under the working business name AfterSix IT ("AfterSix IT," "we," or "us"). By requesting, approving, or receiving service, you agree to the terms that apply to that service.
Services
AfterSix IT provides remote technology troubleshooting, setup, software and account assistance, network help, security-related assistance, and technical consulting. Submitting a request does not guarantee that a problem can be diagnosed or repaired remotely.
Estimates, quotes, and additional work
Chat ranges are preliminary estimates only. AfterSix IT reviews each request before a customer quote is issued. A quote identifies the approved scope and maximum service charge. Parts, paid software, third-party services, or work outside the approved scope require separate customer approval before additional charges are incurred.
Remote support
Remote access requires a separate authorization for the applicable support request. You may end a remote session at any time. Remote authorization does not grant permanent or unattended access unless you separately agree to an ongoing support arrangement.
Your responsibilities
You represent that you own the device, system, account, or data being serviced or have authority from its owner to approve the work. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of important data and valid licenses for software and services. Enter passwords yourself whenever practical and do not send passwords, payment-card details, or remote-access codes through the website intake form.
Third-party products and services
Third-party software, hardware, cloud services, remote-support tools, and payment services are governed by their providers’ terms and availability. AfterSix IT does not control those providers. Any separately billable third-party purchase requires customer approval.
Security services
Security testing requires separate written authorization for the systems and scope being tested. Remote-support consent alone does not authorize security testing. Security assistance can reduce risk but cannot guarantee that a device, account, or network will remain free from malware, unauthorized access, data loss, or future compromise.
Payment
For individual appointments with a deposit specified in the quote, a $25 Square deposit is credited toward the final service charge. The remaining balance is due after the session. Accepting a quote does not charge a payment. Past-due accounts may be denied additional service. Existing quotes retain the acceptance wording and deposit requirement recorded when they were issued.
Scheduling and cancellation
Booking requires quote acceptance, separate remote-support authorization, and confirmation of any required deposit. A requested time is not an appointment until confirmed through the booking process. Your deposit is refundable before work begins, including if AfterSix IT cannot provide the appointment. Once work begins, approved diagnostic time is billable even if the issue cannot be fixed; any unused deposit is refundable. Contact billing@aftersixit.com about refunds and cancel your Google appointment if needed.
Membership inquiries
Membership inquiries require manual review and separate enrollment. Current offerings and included benefits are described on the memberships page. Plans are month-to-month; unused included time expires monthly. No unlimited support, guaranteed 24/7 availability, automatically included licenses, continuous monitoring, managed backups or emergency incident response. Additional work is quoted separately.
Applying does not enroll anyone, authorize recurring billing or confirm payment. Billing dates, renewal, cancellation, refund treatment and eligibility must be agreed separately before activation. Included support has no service deposit; membership billing is separate. Existing customers and saved quotes retain their separately agreed terms.
No guaranteed outcome
Technology problems can result from hardware failure, corrupted data, unsupported software, third-party outages, manufacturer restrictions, malware, pre-existing damage, or other circumstances outside our control. We do not guarantee that every problem can be resolved.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AfterSix IT is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost business opportunities, loss of use, or loss of data. To the maximum extent permitted by law, aggregate liability arising from a particular service will not exceed the amount actually paid to AfterSix IT for that service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Refusal or termination
We may refuse, suspend, or stop work that appears unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, unsafe, outside our capabilities, or would require unauthorized access. You remain responsible for work you previously authorized and that was performed before termination.
Changes and contact
The version presented with a quote or authorization applies to that transaction. Questions may be sent to quotes@aftersixit.com.
